Last post was October 15th 2012... four years ago. A lot has happened in Nepal in four years. Most significantly a major earthquake, thousands of aftershocks, a new constitution (such as it is) a fuel embargo started and halted.
Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) has also seen many changes, including two different leadership regimes.
I am returning to work at PAHS. My airfare is being graciously supplied by Academics Without Borders and I am very appreciative of their support.
I am excited to be returning to Nepal but no longer know the PAHS basic science faculty and indeed won't know any students who started PAHS in the last three years. I am also not travelling or teaching with my partner in cardio-crime, Dr. Bibiana Cujec. So... excitement tinged with anxiety.. I'll keep you posted.
